The JCC is much more than a fitness center. It is a place to gather for social, recreational and educational programs. It is a place to share a bowl of soup with a friend, learn a new computer skill in a welcoming environment, and hear a fascinating author.

Unfortunately, not all in our community are able to afford the full cost of JCC membership. The JCC provides more than $200,000 in membership assistance each year. This money comes from JCC members and friends like you who hear our call for action and support our Annual Appeal. Nearly 40% of all JCC members participated in the JCC's Annual Appeal last year. This is financial support that is over and above membership dues and program fees.
5,000 individuals who use the fitness center each week

2,500 seniors who attend social, recreational and educational programs

1,300 children in childcare, after school care, preschool and camps

100 adults with developmental disabilities
Please join with other JCC members and friends for the 2007/2008 Annual Appeal. The impact of your gift is tremendous. The JCC is the largest social service agency in the Brighton-Henrietta-Pittsford communities. Your generous support helps provide:
Scholarships for those who cannot afford the full cost of membership and summer camp

Senior Adult programs that provide educational, recreational and socialization opportunities

Programs that create an inclusive environment for adults with developmental disabilities

Family Holiday programs that provide Jewish learning opportunities for the affiliated and unaffiliated

Arts and Culture programs that promote Jewish identity and values
We exist to meet individual and communal needs in ways that nurture, strengthen, enrich and unite the Jewish community and our community as a whole.

Your gift makes it possible for us to ensure that we remain a strong, active and vibrant JCC for our community now and in the future.

Thank you once again for helping us to achieve our mission by completing the attached form and sending it back today. Thank you in advance for your generous support.

GIVE EVERY YEAR ... HAVE AN IMPACT EVERY DAY.

P.S. Membership dues cover only 40% of the operating costs of the JCC. Your gift is one way you can help us preserve the programs and services the JCC provides.

P.S.S. With annual gifts of more than $350 you will receive membership in the Charles W. Markus Society. This annual giving society exists so JCC members and non-members can show their commitment to the values of the Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester.
