Then follow the path that suits you best - group fitness classes, work with a personal trainer, or just work out on your own in our state-of-the-art fitness center. Get fit as you play in the gym or racquetball courts. Whatever you choose, our professional staff is ready to help you get started and keep going.
BODYPUMP has come to the JCC! It's one of the fastest ways to shape up and lose body fat. If you want to see results, this is the class for you. It's a toning and conditioning class using barbells. It is for just about everybody who wants to add strength training into their aerobic workout. The simplicity of the class makes BODYPUMP a great starting point to develop strength and confidence. Trendy music and compelling choreography keep you going through each one-hour workout. You'll use the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Come try a class and watch your body transform.
JCC FIT Plan (Fitness Introduction Training) ...

Not sure where to start? Are you ready to get serious about your exercise program? Get and stay motivated by joining our new FITPlan program. The JCC's fitness introduction program is a great way to ensure you start out on the right track and stay healthy and fit all year long. With the help of one of our nationally certified personal trainers, we not only help you get into the habit of exercising but help to keep you going by creating a personalized fitness program tailored to your needs!
The program is free for new members and includes:
One hour fitness evaluation and exercise planning session to include: % body fat analysis, blood pressure, strength and cardiovascular tests, target heart rate, realistic and attainable goal setting, nutrition information and exercise plan.
Two half-hour appointments with your personal trainer to orient you on the cardio or strength training equipment.
One hour Cybex circuit orientation.
We help you achieve your fitness goals and ensure that you're comfortable with all the equipment in our state-of-the-art Fitness Center. To get going right away contact the main desk at 461-2000 and press 0 for the operator.

FREE Blood Pressure Screening
1st Wednesday of every month 11 am-noon (outside Massage Studio) For details please call the Fitness, Wellness and Recreation Department at ext. 268.
Over 50 and Fit Testing - FREE If you are 50 years or older, plan on sticking around after your Wednesday morning class to find out your fitness level. The JCC personal training staff will put you through six simple tests that will tell you your body mass, functional strength, aerobic endurance, balance, agility and flexibility levels. If you did this in the fall, this will be an excellent opportunity to see your improvement over a period of months! The test takes about 10 minutes. No appointment needed. Fitness class staff will remind you.
