ON STAGE celebrates 20 years in 2010!
July 6 - August 13, 9am-4pm

Open to Children ages: 8-15 | Senior Campers: 12 - 13
Assistants in Training: 14 - 15
Director: Phyllis Kasdin, (585) 461.2000, ext. 239

Lights, camera - ON STAGE! Here's an exciting summer full of workshops in music, dance, and drama with professional quality training and programming. ON STAGE is ideal for children with an interest in the performing arts. Boys and girls ages 8-15 thrive in a loving, caring environment. They have the opportunity to gain theatre experience, bond with the staff and each other, while enhancing their self-esteem!

The vast benefits of ON STAGE include:
  • State of the Art Theatre; dance studio; rehearsal space, picnic pavilion for lunch time; large outdoor field for recreation; indoor facilities (kiddie gym; gym, racquetball courts) for recreation in the event of inclement weather.
  • Field trip to see a professional production.
  • Free swim each day.
  • Outdoor recreation each day.
  • Children participate in an original full length musical in which each child is guaranteed a speaking role as well as participating in ensemble numbers, while greatly enhancing their self esteem.
  • Senior campers (ages 12 and 13) may participate in a special program, where they receive advanced training in all disciplines and enjoy at least 3 field trips to theatrical productions.
  • Assistants-In-Training (AITs) are involved in all aspects of the program while gaining experience in supervising children.
  • ON STAGE show choir.
  • Outstanding professional faculty. Each is an adult with experience in his/her respective field of expertise, as well as working with children.
  • Excellent supervision by counselors and faculty.
  • Director is completely involved in every aspect of the program and always visible and available to the participants.
Phyllis Kasdin, ON STAGE director, founded the program 20 years ago and is well-known in the community for her original plays and work in children's theatre.
