ON STAGE is the longest running performing arts program in the community, with 17 successful summers.

ON STAGE offers children with an interest in the performing arts a stimulating summer of workshops in music, dance and drama. The program also includes ON STAGE chorus, a field trip to see a professional production, guest artists each week, and a full length musical in which every ON STAGER has a speaking role. Daily outdoor recreation and activities and swimming are included in the program. Senior campers, ages 12 and 13 entering grades 7 and 8, receive advanced training in all disciplines and at least three field trips to theatrical productions. Assistants in training (AITs), ages 14 and 15 entering grades 9 and 10, participate in all aspects of the program while gaining experience in supervising children.

Phyllis Kasdin, ON STAGE director, founded the program 18 years ago and is well known in the community for her original plays and work in children's theatre. The faculty are all professionals in their field. The program is highly structured and requires that each child have the motivation to give his/her full attention and fully participate. For further information call Phyllis Kasdin, ON STAGE director at (585) 461.2000, ext. 239.
