Gesher After School Care Teacher

We are located alongside the Erie Canal in Brighton and we pride ourselves with providing our members not only with quality educational, cultural arts and social programming as well as state-of-the-art fitness, wellness and recreation programming, but also by providing an inclusive community center environment that welcomes families and members of all ages. We just completed a 16 million dollar renovation of our fitness, wellness and aquatics facilities!
Our Gesher After School Program at the JCC of Greater Rochester offers an innovative after school care program that provides enriching classes and activities for children enrolled in kindergarten through sixth grade. The program encourages independence through daily choices, and a focus on learning social skills. The Jewish Community Center offers a wide range of facilities including multiple classrooms, playgrounds, fields, tennis courts, gyms, pool, etc. The Gesher After School Program is accepting applications and resumes for Teachers for this dynamic and inclusive program.
We provide an after school program for children ages kindergarten through sixth grade. We promote interest based explorations using the talents of our staff to guide informal learning experiences. We love the spontaneous process of cultivating learning. Our staff encourages growth through conversation and play.

With your application, include a cover letter describing WHY you like to work with school age children AND tell us a story about an activity or program you have run successfully with school age children. Include a resume too! You must successfully complete a background and fingerprinting check prior to starting work.
