“As a photographer, I’m excited to present my work for the first time [in Rochester] at the place where so many technological innovations in photography were invented.”
–Erez Kaganovitz

Hear the stories behind the images! Photojournalist Erez Kaganovitz is coming from Israel to talk about about his evocative Humans of Israel exhibition.

Photographer, a native of Tel Aviv, and TEDx speaker, Erez Kaganovitz is the human behind the Humans of Tel Aviv, Humans of Israel, and Humans of the Holocaust projects. Through his work, Erez has helped bridge a cultural gap in society both within and outside of Israel. His compelling work brings understanding, emotional connection, and unity to many around the world.

On display throughout November and December at the JCC in the Gallery Wall between the Hart Theater and the Festival Bookstore

The JCC is proud to present a special exhibit of 36 large-scale portraits by Israeli photographer Erez Kaganovitz from his Humans of Israel project. See below for details on his presentation on the exhibit.

The portraits will be on display throughout November and December.
The exhibit is free and open to the public during JCC hours.

Humans of Israel combines photojournalism with digital storytelling. With intriguing, thought-provoking photographs and the stories about the humans behind them, the exhibition puts a human face on an extraordinary place and challenges preconceptions those outside of Israel may have by communicating a sense of our shared humanity. The Humans of Israel exhibition offers a fresh look at the rich and remarkably diverse lives of Israelis and showcases Israel’s diversity, multiculturalism, and vibrant civil society.
