RRH Wellness Wednesday: Strengthening Your Pelvic Floor

RRH Wellness Wednesday: Strengthening Your Pelvic Floor

Wednesday, October 7 | 12:15–1:00 PM
In person at the JCC | Also recorded on Zoom

Join us for Wellness Wednesday with Dr. Faye Howell, Physical Therapist, for a presentation on “Strengthening Your Pelvic Floor.”

Dr. Howell specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy and women’s wellness and also treats patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions. She practices at the Rochester Regional Health Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic in Irondequoit.

During this presentation, Dr. Howell will discuss the importance of pelvic floor strength and the many benefits of incorporating pelvic floor strengthening into your overall wellness and exercise routine. A strong and well-functioning pelvic floor can help support balance, stability, endurance, strength, and overall quality and performance during exercise and everyday activities.

Dr. Howell is passionate about helping people return to the activities they enjoy and achieve their personal goals. Outside of work, she loves being outdoors—hiking, biking, kayaking, or relaxing on the beach with a good book—and enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures.

Come learn more about this often-overlooked area of health and how strengthening your pelvic floor can support movement, function, and overall well-being.

Community members do not need to be JCC members to attend. These sessions are free and open to the public as part of Rochester Regional Health’s commitment to empowering and supporting the health of our community.

Zoom is available for those who cannot attend in person.
