Wellness Wednesday – RRH Lifestyle Health + Wellness Series: Sympathetic Nervous System and Depression
RRH Wellness Wednesdays feature Rochester Regional clinicians and experts sharing their experiences and knowledge in an effort to improve your health and wellness, and to help connect you with specialists when you’re interested in individualized care. Check each week for the new topic!
On Wednesday, February 15th we will be joined by Rochester Regional Health/RIT’s pre-doctoral student Alexey Bruess. He will be educating us on the sympathetic nervous system and depression. There has been a great deal of research to date on depression and the sympathetic nervous system. Many of our struggles come from prolonged and chronic stress, we will explore the role of this stress on our emotions and mental health. Please join us for an overview of our stress system and practical ways to prevent and treat depression.
Please join us in person in the Erdle Lounge from 12:15 – 1pm at the JCC.
We’d love to hear from you! Send your comments, suggestions and questions to RRHWellness@RochesterRegional.org
Zoom is available for those who cannot attend in person.
