Wellness Wednesday – Understanding the Arthritic Shoulder

RRH Wellness Wednesdays feature Rochester Regional clinicians and experts sharing their experiences and knowledge in an effort to improve your health and wellness, and to help connect you with specialists when you’re interested in individualized care. Check each week for the new topic!

Join us for an informative Wellness Wednesday with physical therapist Margaret Fitzpatrick, PT, DPT, who will be educating attendees on the topic of shoulder arthritis. Learn how arthritis can affect both the glenohumeral joint (the shoulder’s ball-and-socket joint) and the acromioclavicular (AC) joint (where the collarbone meets the shoulder blade).

Margaret will explain the different types of shoulder arthritis, how they develop, and the symptoms they cause. She will also highlight the goals of physical therapy in managing this condition and share key interventions that can help reduce pain, improve function, and maintain quality of life.

Don’t miss this informative session designed to empower you with knowledge and practical tips to manage shoulder arthritis effectively.
