Gesher Before & After School Care

Learning Beyond the Classroom

The time kids spend away from school is just as important as that spent in the classroom. At Gesher, our teachers get to know your family and work with you to understand what you want out of Gesher — whether that’s time for your child to get homework done, socialize and participate in activities, or both.

In addition to the six Gesher classrooms, students have access to the JCC’s Youth Facilities.

Before and after school care and KinderCrew are available to JCC members only, and most enrichment activities are included in your tuition. Non-JCC members have the option to sign up for Enrichment & Specialty Classes.

Before School Care (BCS): 7 - 9am

Children play with friends before bus pick-up and enjoy activities that include arts and crafts, games, reading, and more. Brighton and Rush-Henrietta School Districts will pick up your child from the JCC's front door.

KinderCrew: 8:30 - 11:30am; 11:30am - 3pm

KinderCrew provides wrap-around care for Kindergarten students. Our New York State certified teachers reinforce core subject matter along with the soft skills critical to social development.

After School Care (ACS): 3 - 6pm

Teachers meet kids at the bus and bring them to their homeroom, where they have time to unwind. Arts and crafts, swimming, games, and more activities emphasize community, and a healthy kosher snack is provided.

These are activities that your children can choose on a daily basis (or register for ahead of time), such as arts and crafts, swim lessons, free swim, homework, games, sports, and fitness activities. Choices change every six to 12 weeks, so kids can pursue different interests!

Enrichment & Specialty Classes

Is your child interested in cooking, electronics, or art? Our weekly enrichment classes are open to both JCC members and non-members and allow children to dive deeper into topics they love.
