Produced by Nancy Spielberg, Closed Circuit is unlike anything you’ve ever seen. It consists of footage recorded by hidden security cameras installed throughout Tel Aviv’s Sarona Market, which was attacked by terrorists in 2016, and includes riveting interviews with both Jewish and Muslim witnesses to the event. They include a customer who fought back, a cop who unknowingly saved one of the fleeing terrorists, restaurant workers, and a man celebrating the end of the Ramadan fast with his family. Their words quietly but powerfully reveal how every would-be act of terror can have complex, unexpected consequences.
