In this snappy, Toronto-set musical comedy, a failing singer-songwriter Viv (actor-musician Shaina Silver-Baird) returns to her hometown just in time for her younger sister’s Bat Mitzvah – where she feels like a gefilte fish out of water. In order to set her back on the right path, her rabbi enlists her as a part-time cantor, but that creates its own problems – like the attractive but off-limits rabbi’s son. Originally developed as a web-series, Less Than Kosher won four awards at Canada’s 2023 T.O. Webfest, including the Grand Prize for Best Web Series and the awards for Best Comedy, Best Writing, and Best Actor.
