Live Virtual Tour of Buenos Aires, Argentina!

Tuesday, June 25 *1:30 – 2:30 pm: TechAge

Discover Live provides opportunities to see the world virtually! For our first trip, we will be visiting Dublin, Ireland. These are live virtual tours so there will be the opportunity to interact with guides and ask questions! Light refreshments will be provided.

Our personal, live, one-hour virtual tour will begin with a walk to the Plaza. On our way, we will pass by the oldest church and the oldest bookstore and learn about BA’s early days. Once at the square, we will go inside the Metropolitan Cathedral, where Pope Francis worked as a priest for several years. In the middle of the square, we will pay homage to the brave Mothers of the Disappeared (from Argentina’s Dirty War), fighting bigotry in the 1970s and keeping the memorial alive through today. From there, we will head to the Presidential Palace, Casa Rosada – the Pink House. Our guide will explain why it is pink and show us the famous balcony. It is the one where Eva Peron – Evita, used to give her memorable speeches, and the same where Madonna sang “Don’t cry for Me, Argentina”, and if you don’t remember that song, our guide can croon it for you! Come see the beautiful architecture and learn more about this vibrant, exciting, capital city.
