After a spontaneous escape attempt, he is mistaken for a Nigerian football (soccer) player brought to Israel to help the struggling Maccabi Netanya team. While a tender bond is forming with the team owner’s daughter, how long can Omari keep up the disguise? Running on Sand proves you don’t need miracles, just the right person to take a stand for you.
