What should my child bring to camp each day?
Each day, please send your camper with a backpack that includes closed toed shoes, a bathing suit, towel, water shoes, and a hat. Our smallest kiddos should also have an extra change of clothes.
Campers should also bring a non-perishable, nut-free lunch, extra snacks, and a refillable water bottle.
Sunscreen and insect repellent are required to be brought in at the start of the session (and labeled) to help keep everyone comfortable during outdoor activities.
What does a typical day at camp look like?
Campers rotate through a wide range of activities with their group, including nature exploration, STEM, instructional and recreational swim, splash pad time, dance, music, drama, sports and athletics, and arts and crafts. Campers also have the opportunity to try our ropes course and zip line, challenging themselves and climbing to new heights right in our own backyard.
Are lunch and snacks provided, or should campers bring their own?
Families are asked to pack their child’s lunch and snacks each day. Please be sure all items are non-perishable and completely nut-free. This helps us keep everyone safe, especially children with allergies, and makes sure our program stays a happy and healthy place for all.
Who should I contact if I have questions before and during the camp season?
Before the camp season begins, families are welcome to contact our office by calling 585-461-2000 ext. 273 or emailing campsisol@jccrochester.org.
During the summer season, we ask that families do their best to reach us by email or speak with us in person at drop off or pick up, as our team is actively out with campers throughout the day.
