Wellness Wednesday – Savoring & Gratitude
RRH Wellness Wednesdays feature Rochester Regional clinicians and experts sharing their experiences and knowledge in an effort to improve your health and wellness, and to help connect you with specialists when you’re interested in individualized care. Check each week for the new topic!
RRH expert John Finn LMHC will be presenting on the concept of “Savoring”, which stems from “building positivity” at EBHC PROS, which stands for: Evelyn Brandon Health Center (the location of the program) Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (the name of the program itself).
Savoring is a great way to develop long-lasting streams of positive thoughts and emotions, because we know positive events cannot always be relied on to make us actually FEEL happier. Savoring and gratitude is a strategy for getting “every last drop” of enjoyment and satisfaction from all the experiences of life, big, small, and in between. Research shows that when we take time to notice and appreciate the good, we boost our mood, build resilience, and cultivate a greater sense of well-being. Savoring and gratitude helps transfer fleeting moments into lasting memories and small joys into powerful sources of happiness.
Join us as we explore ways to slow down, be present and truly savor life- one moment at a time.
