Pierre, a 33-year-old florist, has his meticulously maintained routine disrupted by his mother Judith, who suddenly appears after years of no contact. Judith, who is in residential treatment for bipolar disorder, has escaped from her clinic, bringing with her a stormy combination of exhilaration, excess, and chaos. While Pierre tries to steer her back to the clinic so that he can return to his status quo, their time together ultimately brings them closer. Strong performances by the lead actors (including French screen legend Agnes Jaoui), a touching portrayal of the relationship between mother and son, and a sensitive depiction of mental illness make this a must-see film.

When you imagine becoming a Jewish parent for the first time, you envision a particular path for your child – Bar or Bat Mitzvah, Chupah, and other important life cycle events. However, families who have children with neurodivergence are often not able to follow this envisioned journey. This short documentary showcases how four Rochester Jewish families navigate Jewish and everyday life.
