RRH Wellness Wednesday: Plant Based Indian Cuisine with Lifestyle Medicine Physician, Dr. Natasha Sodhi

RRH Wellness Wednesdays feature Rochester Regional clinicians and experts sharing their experiences and knowledge in an effort to improve your health and wellness, and to help connect you with specialists when you’re interested in individualized care. Check each week for the new topic!

Indian cuisine is known for its aromatic herbs, spices and strong flavors such as ginger, fennel, cumin and turmeric to name a few. Indian cuisine is also known for its health benefits such as increased immunity, controlling blood sugar, cognitive health and reducing inflammation. Please join Dr. Sodhi for this special Wellness Wednesday where she will be sharing how she makes a few Indian dishes for her family. She will be reviewing the recipes, educating us on the powerhouse ingredients and there will be food samples provided for those that are in-person.

After the presentation, we will be having our monthly Plant Based Whole Foods Pot-Luck in Erdle Lounge with our Lifespan advocate and foodie enthusiast, Lacey Witcher. Bring your favorite dish to pass along with the recipe and/or list of ingredients. Please bring enough to feed 6 – 8 people and bring a friend with you to. Let’s continue to spread the message of peace, love and plants. Utensils provided.

Kindly, Trudy Arsenault RN
