Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are a set of common musculoskeletal conditions that can cause pain, tension and headaches. Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the hinge connecting your jaw to the skull. It is estimated about 1 in 12 people in the USA are affected by this disorder. This presentation introduces some of the basics about TMJ and headaches with discussion around anatomy, physiology and risk factors. Jacob will be sure to provide tips and tricks about what can be done to manage the symptoms. Up-to-date evidence-base practice guidelines for TMJ will also be discussed.
