The outbreak of the 1973 Yom Kippur War finds a group of Israeli soldiers hopelessly outnumbered by Egyptian commandos in the Sinai Desert. After a week of ceaseless assaults, the surviving Israeli soldiers face imminent doom. With wounded piling up and the lives of soldiers hanging by a thread, a young lieutenant and an army doctor confront a soul-shattering choice: a desperate last stand or a perilous gamble that could betray everything they stand for. The Stronghold is a close look at the impossible decisions soldiers face during wartime and the plight of prisoners of war.
