Gregory Statt, PharmD Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist from Greater Rochester Independent Practice Association (GRIPA) is coming to the JCC to present on how cost of medications can be a major barrier to medication accessibility. Nearly four in ten of those taking four or more prescription drugs say they have difficulty affording their prescriptions. As a pharmacist working alongside primary care providers as part of a care management team, Dr. Statt works to help reduce cost related medication non-adherence and improve medication affordability. He believes there is opportunity to improve affordability by educating patients and providers on how to recognize key high-cost medications, avoid medication waste, and encourage these conversations on costs with one’s healthcare team. Please join us to learn about GRIPA Care Management and how they work along with primary care providers to strive for value-based care.
