In this presentation, Joseph will review the effects osteoarthritis can have on individuals and the healthcare system, while exploring the important role exercise plays in both prevention and management. Whether you have been diagnosed with osteopenia, osteoporosis, or arthritis-or simply want to learn how to protect your bone and joint health-this presentation will provide valuable information and practical tips for prevention and healthy aging.
Participants will learn about:
– The impact of osteoarthritis on health and function
– Why exercise is one of the most effective tools for managing osteoarthritis
– Evidence-based exercise recommendations for improving bone and joint health
– Strategies to help maintain mobility, strength, and independence
Joseph earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2023 and began his career working in a local skilled nursing facility before joining East Ridge Physical Therapy. He is passionate about helping individuals of all ages maximize their function and quality of life through exercise and activity
