Wellness Wednesday: The Aging Shoulder — Tips & Tricks to Maintain Strength and Mobility

RRH Wellness Wednesday: The Aging Shoulder — Tips & Tricks to Maintain Strength and Mobility

Wednesday, September 2nd 12:15 – 1pm
JCC – Auditorium A | In Person & Recorded on Zoom

Join us for our First Wednesday Physical Therapy Series featuring Eric Stambaugh, PT, DPT, from Ridgeway Orthopedics.

As we age, changes in shoulder strength, flexibility, and mobility can make everyday activities—from reaching overhead and carrying groceries to exercising and maintaining independence—more challenging. The good news is that there are practical ways to protect shoulder function and stay strong and active.

Eric will share tips and strategies for maintaining shoulder strength and mobility as we age, including ways to incorporate safe physical activity into everyday life. In his work with patients at Ridgeway Orthopedics, Eric also emphasizes the important roles that physical activity, quality sleep, and good nutrition play in supporting a healthy, active life at any age.

This session is especially valuable for adults 65 and older who want to maintain mobility, prevent loss of function, and continue doing the activities they enjoy.

Come learn simple, practical strategies to keep your shoulders—and yourself—moving well for years to come!

Community members do not need to be JCC members to attend. These sessions are free and open to the public as part of Rochester Regional Healths commitment to empowering and supporting the health of our community.
Registration is required. You may register online in advance or sign in the same day at check-in. We never want registration to be a barrier-everyone is welcome.

Zoom is available for those who cannot attend in person.
