RRH Wellness Wednesday: Prostate Cancer Treatment Side Effects & Survivorship
JCC – Auditorium A | In Person & Recorded on Zoom
Join us for a practical and supportive discussion with Sheema Chawla, MD, DipABLM, a board-certified Lifestyle Medicine physician and Radiation Oncologist with Rochester Regional Health’s Lipson Cancer Institute.
Life after prostate cancer treatment can bring questions and challenges that aren’t always easy to talk about. Dr. Chawla will discuss common symptoms and side effects that may occur following prostate cancer treatment, practical strategies for managing them, and when it’s important to connect with your healthcare team.
The conversation will also explore how lifestyle medicine—including physical activity, nutrition, sleep, stress management, and other healthy behaviors—can support overall health, recovery, and quality of life during cancer survivorship.
This session is designed for prostate cancer patients and survivors, caregivers, family members, healthcare professionals, and anyone interested in learning more about prostate cancer survivorship.
Community members do not need to be JCC members to attend. These sessions are free and open to the public as part of Rochester Regional Healths commitment to empowering and supporting the health of our community.
