There he reconnects with his beloved childhood friend, who lives with his fiancée, setting off a series of events that will affect everyone’s lives. Following the international success of the acclaimed film, The Cakemaker, writer/director Ofir Raul Graizer presents a visually beautiful and poignant story about friendship, sexual identity, trauma, and forgiveness.

Tonight’s screening is dedicated to Michael Gamilla, ImageOut Film Festival Programmer, whose love of film, passion for fashion, and generosity of heart will forever be remembered by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, including all of us at RJFF. Ofir Raul Graizer, the director of America, also directed The Cakemaker, one of Michael’s favorites. We miss you, Michael. This one’s for you.

In honor of Michael, we invite our audience to dress bright, colorful, and fabulous for this screening!

And don’t forget to join us after the film for a special Havdalah right outside the Dryden Theatre.
