RRH Wellness Wednesday: Bone Health & Osteoporosis
RRH Wellness Wednesday: Bone Health & Osteoporosis
Wednesday, October 14 | 12:15–1:00 PM
In person at the JCC | Also recorded on Zoom
Join us for an informative Wellness Wednesday focused on bone health, osteoporosis, and maintaining strong bones as we age.
Our presenter, Freda B. Hannafon, NP-C, is a Bone Health Program Coordinator with Rochester Regional Health Orthopedics who has specialized in osteoporosis and other rare bone diseases for more than 25 years.
Bone loss becomes increasingly important as we get older, particularly after age 65, when osteoporosis and fractures can have a significant impact on mobility, independence, and quality of life. Freda will discuss osteoporosis from an orthopedic and bone-health perspective, including risk factors, screening and diagnosis, prevention, treatment options, and practical steps we can take to protect our bones.
Whether you have osteoporosis or osteopenia, have experienced a fracture, have a family history of bone loss, or simply want to be proactive about maintaining strong bones as you age, this presentation will provide valuable information to help support healthy aging, mobility, and independence.
Community members do not need to be JCC members to attend. These sessions are free and open to the public as part of Rochester Regional Health’s commitment to empowering and supporting the health of our community.
Registration is required. You may register online in advance or sign in the same day at check-in. We never want registration to be a barrier-everyone is welcome.
