Wellness Wednesday – Fresh Pressed Juicing with Nurse Trudy
Wellness Wednesday: Fresh Pressed Juicing with Nurse Trudy
Wednesday, August 19 | 12:15–1:00 PM
In Person Only at the JCC
Join Lifestyle Medicine Nurse Trudy Arsenault, RN, BSN, OCN, DipACLM, for a fun and informative fresh-pressed juicing demonstration featuring the Nama 2 Juicer. Learn how to prepare delicious, nutrient-rich juices using fresh fruits and vegetables, and discover simple ways to incorporate juicing into a healthy lifestyle.
During this interactive session, Trudy will discuss the potential benefits of fresh-pressed juice, including:
- An easy way to increase your intake of vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients.
- A convenient option for those who have difficulty chewing large amounts of fruits and vegetables.
- A refreshing way to support hydration, especially during the warmer months.
- A simple strategy to help add more plant foods to your daily routine as part of an overall healthy eating pattern.
While fresh juice is not a replacement for eating whole fruits and vegetables—which provide important fiber—it can be a nutritious addition to a balanced diet when enjoyed in moderation.
Samples of fresh-pressed juices will be provided. Come thirsty, curious, and ready to be inspired!
Community members do not need to be JCC members to attend. These sessions are free and open to the public as part of Rochester Regional Healths commitment to empowering and supporting the health of our community.
Zoom is available for those who cannot attend in person.
