Wellness Wednesday – Pelvic Floor Health for Everyone
Wellness Wednesday: Pelvic Floor Health for Everyone
Wednesday, Masy 6 | 12:15–1:00 PM
In person at the JCC (Auditorium A) or on Zoom (recorded session)
Join us for our Wellness Wednesday as Faye Howell, Physical Therapist with Rochester Regional Health, shares an informative and practical discussion about pelvic floor health.
Both men and women have pelvic floor muscles, and they play an important role in bladder and bowel function, posture, balance, and core stability. During this session, Faye will explain why keeping these muscles strong is essential for overall health and daily movement.
You’ll learn:
– Why strengthening the pelvic floor is important
– How pelvic floor health supports balance and may reduce lower back pain
– What activities or habits can strain the pelvic floor
– How aging can affect muscle strength and function
– Simple ways to activate and strengthen the pelvic floor during everyday activities – whether you’re at the gym, walking, or working in the backyard
Come learn how caring for your pelvic floor can support strength, stability, and lifelong wellness.
Community members do not need to be JCC members to attend. These sessions are free and open to the public as part of Rochester Regional Health’s commitment to empowering and supporting the health of our community.
Registration is required. You may register online in advance or sign in the same day at check-in. We never want registration to be a barrier – everyone is welcome.
Zoom is available for those who cannot attend in person.
