Sip & Science: Metro Birds: Nature Surprises in an Urban Habitat

Join us for coffee, cookies and science!

Our speaker, Tim Tatakis, lived for 10 years in the 19th Ward of Rochester, NY and collected many interesting bird observations and data during that time.  Most of these observations were made in a very small, urban backyard where he lived and included many surprising species sightings and discoveries.  This talk will describe some examples of how birds used this small urban landscape and demonstrate the importance of studying and conserving nature in urban habitats.
