Cartooning after October 7: Commemorating Two Years Using Israeli Cartoons with Matt Reingold PhD

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli cartoonists have used their artistic platforms to capture the feelings of loss, trauma, and resilience that have defined Israeli society. During this period, hundreds of cartoons have been produced that share insights, observations, and expressions of what it has meant to live during a prolonged war. In this interactive session, attendees will examine illustrations and reflect on which images capture their own feelings. 

Matt Reingold is Senior Project Lead at Rosov Consulting and has extensive experience as both a Jewish education researcher and practitioner, with years of classroom experience across diverse educational settings. His scholarly work explores the intersection of arts, Jewish, and Israel education, and he has authored numerous publications in these areas. He teaches about Israeli political cartoons to audiences around the world and posts about them on Instagram @CartooningIsrael
