JReads is partnering again with Hadassah for their annual book review! Join us for brunch, book raffles, and what is sure to be a fascinating talk by Judge Karen Morris.

The Book: Final Verdict: The Holocaust on Trial in the 21st Century, by Tobias Buck.
The gripping narrative of one of the last Nazi criminal trials in Germany—that of Bruno Dey, a 93-year-old former concentration camp guard charged with aiding the murder of more than 5,000 people—and a larger exploration of Germany’s reckoning with the Holocaust, from silence to memory to today’s rising tide of fascism and antisemitism.

The Brunch:  Brunch will be buffet style, provided by Fox’s. We will have bagels, cream cheese, veggie tray, hummus, egg salad, tuna salad, cookies, and coffee/tea.  The buffet brunch is included in your ticket price. You do not need to place a separate order for your meal.

If you would like a kosher option rather than the buffet brunch: your ticket price remains the same and your meal is included in the ticket price. But you MUST contact Marni Port at the JCC no later than May 20th with your sandwich choice. Please first purchase your ticket through the ticketing system, and then email Marni at mport@jccrochester.org and request either a kosher tuna sandwich or egg salad sandwich.

The Raffle:
Book raffles will take place during the event. Tickets are for sale at the event and cash/check only.

Although tickets will be available at the door, we greatly appreciate it when you purchase ahead of time. This helps us know how to set up the room and how much food to order! Note: even if you are ordering kosher and emailing Marni, you still must purchase tickets through the ticketing link. You do not need to contact Marni if you do not need a kosher meal.
