RRH Wellness Wednesday – Pain & Psychology: Understanding the Mind-Body Connection

Join us for Wellness Wednesday with Garry L. Spink, PhD, of Rochester Regional Health and Genesee Behavioral Health Center at the Alexander Park Medical Campus.

Dr. Spink will discuss the important relationship between pain, stress, emotions, and mental health, and how our thoughts and behaviors can influence the experience of pain. Participants will gain insight into the mind-body connection and learn practical strategies that may help improve coping, resilience, and overall well-being.

Topics May Include:

  • How stress and emotions can affect physical pain
  • The connection between mental health and chronic pain
  • Coping tools to support emotional and physical wellness
  • Ways to build resilience and improve quality of life
  • Understanding the role of psychology in pain management

All are welcome to attend this informative and supportive discussion.

Community members do not need to be JCC members to attend. These sessions are free and open to the public as part of Rochester Regional Health’s commitment to empowering and supporting the health of our community.

Registration is required. You may register online in advance or sign in the same day at check-in. We never want registration to be a barrier—everyone is welcome.
