RRH Wellness Wednesday: Mindful Movement & Plant-Based Potluck
Work-shop March 25th 12:15 – 1pm JCC Aud A & recorded on Zoom
Join us on March 25 from 12:15 – 1 p.m. at the JCC (in person) and recorded on Zoom for a mindful movement workshop featuring Caroline McBride, PT, DPT, OCS, a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist with Rochester Regional Health, Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation on Ridgeway. Dr. McBride is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, certified Pilates teacher, and former modern dancer who brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and movement artistry to her work.
Caroline will lead a mindful movement workshop focused on moving your body with intention, breath, and purpose. During this interactive session, you’ll learn how your brain communicates with your muscles and how that connection influences your strength, mobility, coordination, and overall function. Together, we’ll practice intentional movement, conscious breathing, and purposeful activity in a supportive environment. This class is suitable for all ages and all levels of physical ability.
Following the presentation, stay for our monthly Plant-Based Whole Foods Potluck from 1:00–2:00 p.m. in Auditorium A at the JCC. Please bring a plant-based dish to serve approximately 6–8 people, along with a copy of the recipe or ingredient list to share. A whole-foods, plant-based way of eating is rich in fibre, antioxidants, vitamins, and phytonutrients that support heart health, healthy cholesterol levels, blood sugar balance, digestive health, and reduced inflammation. It’s also naturally nutrient-dense and can support healthy weight management and long-term disease prevention.
